Well..I had quite the opposite result from the guy below me. jay's checked out what was wrong with my car, I asked them before they proceeded to phone me with costs, jay's son called and explained what they needed to do and what to expect for costs...when i showed up to pick the car up, the total bill was LESS than what i was quoted!!! for a single mom i have to say this was one of the nicest surprises i have had in a long time! i recommend anyone and everyone to give them a chance. they have been around forever and i find the review below mine VERY hard to believe after meeting jay and the others in person!

Do not trust Jays services. Our phone calls were also avoided. They did work with out our authorization. When I called to tell them I would pick up the car because I thought that they had not worked on it, Jay said he would call me back with the cost of repair. Slyly, he had his "innocent" son who knew nothin about the repair & couldn't answer any questions call me with the total cost. Jay ran away before I got there. Repair + winterizing was done with out authorization or an communication with me. (the owner) I was told to sign the receipt before I could take the car. Sly. Dishonest. Fake. Those words would describe the guys at Jays Services, Kamloops, BC

Jay was sooo helpful with my car dilemna! I had nothing but issues with my old car but Jay helped me to get a newer car, even though it would have been more beneficial for them if I were to keep my old car and to get all the repairs done. Thanks again Jay!!

My friend and I were travelling through Kamloops, car broke down, Jay answered my call at 9pm on a Sunday night, was very helpful, had the car towed to their shop. They promptly repaired in first thing Monday morning and got us right back on the road. Great service, fair pricing, would highly recommend these guys!

Horrible experience: Jay is an enigma. Polite and seemingly helpful. Collector car broke down last summer and we limped into Kamloops. Jay expressed enthusiasm at the chance to work on an older vehicle as it seems he is a car buff. Vehicle had two issues, one of which he corrected promptly while the other he could not. Left the car there and took the bus home to return with another vehicle to pick up the family and continue trip. Car sat at Jay's for nearly two months. Messages never returned, calls never answered. Second issue never corrected as car just sat. I pulled vehicle out of Jay's, repaired myself and returned home. I was presented with a horrendous bill, part rip-off, part spite, with huge parts mark ups and fees for repair "attempts" Poor business practises, poor BBB record, no accountability. If my car were ever to fall apart right in front of Jay's, I would pick up all the bits and bring them all somewhere else for repair.

I had great service from Jay. Very courteous and helpful. Investigated all my troubles and the pricing was far lower than anticipated. He is very fair and goes out of his way to help his clients out. Definitely will return.

Jays auto was going to charge me $2300.plus taxes with a note on my quote saying that this is not a final price.This was to do my headgaskets.He told me he had the machinist come look at my truck and that he told Jay to go ahead and do the headgaskets???That made no sense at all to me since my truck wasnt even apartand a machinist is not a mechanic.It was very fishy to me so I got my truck towed out of there and into Toyota where I was afraid to take it because I thought it would be to much money being a dealer.Well,I was wrong!!All my truck needed was new spark plugs because the ones I had in my truck were misssing the O rings.It cost me $256.00 To get my truck fixed at Toyota where they changed my sparkplugs and cleaned out my fuel system.I am a single mom and almost cancelled Christmas for my kids so I could be ripped off by Jays auto in Kamloops.Thank God I followed my intuition.He was also giving me prices on what it will cost to recondition my motor if it came to that.I am almost positve now that it was his plan to tell me that the motor would need reconditioning and I would have had to walk away from the vehicle that only has 110000 k.m on it.Please be warned .This smooth talking man will rip you off no matter the price to your family.
