This is the best spa I've ever been to. The atmosphere is very relaxing from the moment you walk in. The staff is very friendly, caring and professional. I've been to the spa many times and each person who I had the pleasure to be treated was always great. I get waxing done regularly and can come out virtually hair free (full legs, arms, underarms and brazilian) in less than an hour and half, and my skin feels very smooth and silky. I also get eyebrows threading and Anju always puts a lot of effort into making them perfect, and they are every time!! I would recommend this spa to everyone and will continue to go there.
Horrible experience!!! I arrived at the spa 10 minutes late one day bc of traffic and the owner threatened to charge me double the amount! The "esthetician" was so rude and careless and reminded me at least 6 times that I was late. She did a horrible job and left to cuts on my lip bc she was rushing. I apologized that I was late but they were very rude. It took me 35 mins by car to drive their and it was not worth it at all. Do not go here!!!
Overrated!!! Very unprofessional staff, not very friendly. I went here a few times for upper lip and eyebrow threading and I always leave unhappy with the results. The estheticians are careless and do not do the job properly, they always leave sections of hair undone. I am not sure why they have a grown man sitting at the reception desk asking you what you need to get waxed/threaded, considering they have a mainly female client base, I found this both uncomfortable and inappropriate! Furthermore, the owner, Anju, walks into the room anytime she so pleases, while in the middle of getting ur waxing done, very rude and inconsiderate! Furthermore, the employees always talk amongst eachother in their own language which makes u feel like they are talking about u, and is probably true. Overall, I would not recommend this place, do not value their customers, find a better place, totally not worth the time or money!!!
must have been pretty bad to submit it 8 times....did u talk to the manager about what happened?
Kaya Kama has got to be one of the worst spas known to Edmonton. The estheticians are amateur, they take forever for a simple wax and still cant manage to complete it adequately. My first experience was just recently and I had gone for a brazilian wax, which I've done many times before and us generally quick and relatively painless. The esthetician took over an hour for a simple wax, and still didnt finish it! She had to go over and over areas making the skin so red and sensitive that she had to stop because she didnt want to take off any more layers of skin. I could hardly understand her english to top it all off, and was unpleasantly surprised when she brought out what looked like a windex bottle and started spraying it down there. Turns out it was oil to dissolve all the extra wax that she failed to remove. I had to go to another waxer a day later to complete the wax as I was not going to leave it half done. It was excruciatingly painful and definitely not worth the cost. I would NOT recommend this "spa" to anyone as they are inexperienced and unprofessional.
