Let me start by saying that I have known Marketa for many years, since 1995 heck, we almost got married on 28-08-1999. This Wedding design business has been a dream of hers since she came to Canada in 1994. I remember her talking about importing Czech crystal for wedding décor and making chair covers out of all sorts of elaborate colours and fabrics. She has always been a very strong willed woman who knows what she wants and goes for it. She is very meticulous and creative in her ways and wants everything to be perfect in everything that she does. She always gives 100% in the things that she does and her business is no different. Believe me when I say we butted heads a few times on colours and décor choices. I still have the white carpet in my house that she picked out along with the tiles and cabinets. Mind you, I have to have the carpet steamed cleaned every spring but that is besides the point it looks great after. To me it sounds like this woman wants something for nothing by trying to piecing together decorating props from different companies. Hey, get a clue lady. It says “Luxury Wedding Designs” If you don’t understand the meaning of the word “Luxury” look it up on http://www.wikipedia.org. Have you ever heard of a cheep Luxury Car? NO, of course not! So why would you think someone is going to bother with you when you are obviously trying to nickel and dime them from the start. I wouldn’t bother with you either. The way I see it is Market is right. Either you get her company to do the complete event including the backdrop or you go somewhere else. However, you do not start badmouthing a company online because your cheep A$$ didn’t get their way.

Hello Kathy/Lisa This is Marketa, as you know the designer that has been apparently so rude and snotty.. I know exactly who you are…you are the lady who came into one of the trade shows I have recently done and asked me if I will only do your backdrop , which is our specialty backdrop. Yes I have replayed to you that we do not do a partial events and you spit out rudely at me “FINE SOMEONE ELSE WILL DO IT THAT” and turned around and ran out of the hall before I can even explain. You have really tried to ruin my reputation and it really surprise me coming from someone I have never had a meeting with or done any work for!! Besides a 10 second conversation you have a lot to say about someone you don’t even know or never even have the chance to work with. I do feel like I have to explain and clean up my company name I have worked so hard on for 5 years and build a great respected reputation. 1.I do tread all of my clients the same no matter what is your budget. 2. You are correct I do not take a partial orders and its my choice to do so to ensure the overall quality of the entire event. From past experience correcting so many mistakes from other designer. 3. I have a very good relationship with all clients and very good customer skills. As I have many happy clients that respect me or have a respect to others which you are obviously locking in toward other people. All of my clients thank me for helping them have a stress free event I have taken care of for them and I can give you a list of people that will agree! Not sure what you talking about I have treated you like you know nothing in that 10 second conversation we had I sure was not able to get in much of wording when you stormed out of the hall when you didn’t get your way . Maybe next time instead of attacking other designers you should hire one that has everything you like ….so you don’t have to walk around and collect bits and pieces from other people and when you don’t get your way act like a 4 year old child and then write lies on the internet. That been sad, don’t say you have heard from a fellow bride that I don’t rent out single units!! It’s was you who wanted a single unit and was not happy while you could not get it.. All of my clients I’m working with value my opinion because they know it will look beautiful when I do put all the designs together. After all my clients are the most important thing to me on the most special day of they’re life’s.. and that is why I still do this stressful job I absolutely love … By the way….my designs are not too bad….. Next time try to say something positive about people… we both know you like my work or you wouldn’t try to hire me for your wedding décor. The designs arent too bad some stuff is too over the top for my own personal taste but seriously she scores a definite ZERO in the customer service and professionalism category. I have NEVER complained about anyone publicly- I feel the need to warn brides out there. Twice I have spoken to the designer and twice she has been rude, condesending and terribly snotty. She also told a close friend that it "would not be worth it" for her to design a wedding with such a small budget. I was also told by a fellow bride she will not even consider renting single units (ie: chair covers or backdrops) as "its too much work and just not worth it for her." Shes not accomodating at all. When youre planning a wedding and you want the least amount of stress possible you dont want to be made uncomfortable. Speaking to this designer made me feel as if I knew nothing, she was superior and my planning hadnt been successful thus far. Just consider there are many other designers who are willing to work with you and just because they are the professionals, doesnt mean your opinion doesnt matter.
